9 Steps to Buying a Home in Florida

When you're ready to buy a home in Florida, there are several steps you must take to ensure that you will have a successful transaction:

1. Find out what your FICO (credit) score is by looking it up at a site like Experian FICO. Please note: Credit Karma is NOT the tool to use to do this as they do not use the same scoring system as Mortgage Lenders. 
2. Once you have your FICO score, contact a local lending institution.  Be sure the lender you choose is local to the community.  It makes a big difference.  Ask for our referral list!
